January 12, 2025 – The Bread for the Week – Kingdom Development Plan

Good afternoon MKBA family,

You might notice Chris Powers here with me today, one of our ordained members. We are both attending the School of the Prophets this weekend because you can never know enough about the prophetic sense of God. I wanted to have him here today in case the Lord led him to prophetically share, but we will spare you from any dancing.

Last Sunday, when I had Charlotte with me, I shared the vision God gave me for the direction of MKBA. I believe we need to continue our business coaching efforts, but we must remember that MKBA is a ministry. At the beginning of the year, Rick reminded me of this, which I initially struggled with because, as many of you know, I lean more towards an apostolic and prophetic approach rather than a pastoral one. The business world often operates this way, and I want to clarify this larger vision for you.

Chris and others have mentioned reading the vision but not fully understanding how to apply it. That makes sense, as it came to me as a revelation. Now, we need to explore how to use it for evangelism, as a prophetic filter, and as a tool for teaching and preaching. My hope is that you are doing these things both within MKBA and your own endeavors, with the resources we provide.

God has placed on my heart a “John the Baptist” calling for businesses—an invitation to rise higher by humbling ourselves. The world seems to have returned to a spiritual Egypt, but we are being led out, not by one Moses but through the concept of the seven-mountain mandate. While I don’t fully align with every aspect of it, I do believe it applies to all areas of culture, including family, marriages, and parenting. We are in a significant spiritual exodus, particularly in the business realm, as God calls us to become Jehovah Jireh, the provider for funding the Gospel once again.

Our calling is not merely to survive the challenges the system throws at us but to develop a business plan that aligns with the coming of God’s kingdom on earth. When we pray, “Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven,” we are declaring a faith-driven strategy. My role as MKBA’s leader is to encourage you to create business plans that reflect the kingdom’s principles. I view this as a development plan, like preparing raw land for its full potential—building the amenities, infrastructure, and finally seeing a thriving community with families and children.

This development has been unfolding in your life for years. From your youth through your adult experiences, God has been preparing you with the raw materials needed for His purpose. Now is the time to use those resources to develop the rest of your life in God, using the sphere of influence He has given you in business.

I wanted to bring clarity to this today as I feel God leading me to move from teaching towards a more prophetic and apostolic approach. I trust that you will reflect on these insights, seeking how they uniquely apply to your life and calling. You are part of God’s story, and your history has equipped you for this development plan.

It may take time to fully grasp, and you might not know the right questions to ask yet. My approach in seeking clarity has been to ask God directly, “Lord, show me what this is. I don’t want to assume or guess.” When God says He will build His church, He will use us, but He wants to lead the process, not for us to take the lead and ask for His blessing afterward.

Many of us in business tend to create something and then ask God to bless it. However, true kingdom transformation involves wealth transfer and divine favor that goes beyond material gain. It aligns with John 14:12-14, where Jesus speaks of doing greater works through faith and divine partnership.

This message is part of a broader series, likely consisting of 10-12 parts, and I am confident God will continue speaking to you. Expect heart transformations, shifts in your business practices, and blessings in alignment with His will. Remember, we cannot truly prosper unless our souls prosper, as the Word says.

Chris, do you have anything to add?

Chris: What kept coming to me is, “Not my will, Lord, but Yours be done.” If you present your plans to the Lord with this mindset, I believe you will receive fresh revelation.

That is a word you can count on. This was your nugget for the week. Bon Appétit!
